Description:

For the tender of the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant Glogau an expansion concept and planning documents corresponding to the offer had to be made up. The extension of an available mechanical stage to a mechanical/biological treatment plant with sludge treatment was offered. A foresighted concept was developed, that allows an extensive flexibility of the future treatment plant. The expansion was planned in two stages. For the wastewater processing the modernisation and the partial new building of the mechanical cleaning stages was planned as a first step. Afterwards the biological cleaning stage for 90,000 (PE) should be constructed. Further optional steps in the field of the rainwater processing should complement the flexibility of the technical solutions. The gradual extension of the sewage sludge treatment should begin with a liming of the machine-drained primary sludge and end with the established of a sludge digestion.
