Description:

The sewage of the SEAT-Plant in Matorell is separated into two canal networks. The sewage that is cleaned in the treatment plant, that belongs to the plant, goes into the receiving river. To clean the sewage the following procedures were chosen

The several partly streams of the industrial sewage are kept separate. In the treatment plant, the industrial water is hauled over a data processing system and a grit chamber. Afterwards, it is treated in a chemical-physical step. This step consists of a two-step pre-precipitation (acid/basic) and afterwards a sedimentation tank for the separation of the felling-sludge and the floating sludge. Then the common stream will be cleaned biologically in an activated sludge plant. The facility is based on carbon elimination and nitrification. The sludge is simultaneous aerobe stabilised. The drainage is disinfected with chlorine before it drains out.

Finally, in the sludge treatment a (pre-thickener) and two chamber filter presses dewater the sludge.
