Description:

The treatment plant for septic sludge has been planned and realised as an immediate measure. It represents the beginning of the construction of a centralised and organised sewage- and waste-treatment in the area around Kuching. The facility has been measured for a amount of sludge, that is present if each of the, about 77,000 septic tanks would be emptied once in two years.


The essential business units of the treatment plant are:

  • reception facility with intermediate storage system
  • dewatering facility
  • stabilisation and sanitation
  • secure landfill of the dewatered sludge
  • treatment of landfill leachate
