Description:

Due to the high age of the AVA Nordweststadt in Frankfurt a general reconstruction is unavoidable. The corresponding necessary planning tasks for realization were given totally to BE. FES as operator of the plant was very much interested in very short periods of plant shut-down. The adoption of the boiler plant to German emission standards claims high demands to the necessary building configuration, which is additionally very difficult because of the very tight site situation. The relatively high steam parameters of the energy use result in high-quality construction of the steam boilers.

Because of the fluctuating quality of the input material with corresponding calorific values the use of water-cooled firing grids is scheduled. It is intended to carry out all construction works between 2004 and 2006.The tender procedure will take place during the year 2002.
